The new webtoon-based OTT series has announced its star-studded cast, including Ryu Jun Yeol, IU, Park Jung Min and more.
Naver Webtoon unveiled the cast for its new OTT series Money Game on the 28th. This lineup includes some of the biggest names in the industry, raising expectations.
As time passes, the prize pool also increases. Money Game is an 8-part drama based on two webtoons, “Money Game” and “Pie Game.” Set in a place where the social infrastructure is cut off, the drama centers around the game that ends only when someone dies in the isolated space. It tells the story of eight participants that repeat cooperation and betrayal.
Director Han Jae Rim, gearing up for the highly-anticipated movie Emergency Declaration, was tabbed as the director and writer. The fierce mind games and emotional conflicts will come alive with the stellar cast.
Lost actor Ryu Jun Yeol reunites with director Han after the 2017 movie The King. IU and Park Jung Min will also lead the drama with their excellent acting prowess. Moreover, The World of the Married actor Park Hae Joon and The King actor Bae Sung Woo have joined the cast.
Meanwhile, the filming will begin in the first half of 2022.
