Ma Dong Seok, aka Don Lee, will present a “dystopian action” in the coming year.
According to Starnews, Ma Dong Seok was recently cast in the movie Concrete Utopia 2. Concrete Utopia 2 is a movie that shares the same worldview as the movie Concrete Utopia.
Concrete Utopia is a thriller film about those who survived in a city that went to ruins after a massive earthquake. It’s also a film adaptation of the second part, “Pleasant Neighbor,” of Kim Soong Nyung’s hit-webtoon “Pleasant Outcast.” Park Seo Joon, Park Bo Young, and Lee Byung Hun had already finished filming the movie in August.
According to the industry insiders, Concrete Utopia 2 now has the working title Concrete Kingdom. It’s a dystopian action movie that takes place long after the time Concrete Utopia is set. Additionally, Concrete Utopia 2 will be a feature debut film of martial arts director Heo Myeong Hoen, who has participated in works like The Good, The Bad, The Weird, New World, and Vincenzo. Ma Dong Seok and director Heo have already worked together in the movie Ground Zero.
Ma Dong Seok, who had made his Hollywood debut in Eternals, has three movies waiting for release in 2022 – The Outlaws 2, Apgujeong Report, and Holy Night: Demon Hunters. As a result, we’ll get to meet Ma Dong Seok, the detective, the nosy man, and the demon hunter.
Meanwhile, Concrete Utopia 2 will start filming in the first half of next year after completing the cast lineup.
