Earlier this week, JYP Entertainment confirmed that Jeongyeon would be sitting out TWICE’s first offline concert in two years. Now, attention focuses on the artist’s health.

On the 20th, JYP Entertainment stated, “We have come to the conclusion that it would be best for Jeongyeon to take time off from the Seoul concerts of TWICE 4TH WORLD TOUR ‘III’ scheduled for December 25th and 26th.” The label then added that full refunds would be issued without additional fees for those who wish to cancel their tickets in light of this news.

Concerns about Jeongyeon’s health are growing as the artist constantly shows health problems. Jeongyeon had undergone surgery for a ruptured neck disc in June last year, a week before TWICE’s comeback with MORE & MORE. In August and October the same year, she took a break from the act’s promotion due to a panic disorder.

On December 12th, she resumed her activities with TWICE’s 3rd full album, Formula of Love: O+T=<3>. However, she had to suffer from malicious comments about her weight gain. It’s known that the artist has gained weight because of the medicine she took for her disc problem and anxiety disorder.

Meanwhile, TWICE will open their fourth world tour “TWICE 4TH WORLD TOUR ‘III'” on the 25th. This marks TWICE’s offline concert 1 year and 10 months after “TWICE WORLD TOUR 2019 ‘TWICELIGHTS.'”
