SEVENTEEN is back with another love story, ‘Attacca’.
On Friday, SEVENTEEN held a global press conference to mark the release of their 9th mini-album Attacca.
S.coups expressed his excitement, “It’s been four months since we last greeted you. I’m excited and happy to be able to share good music so soon. The last album also received more love than expected, so we happily prepared this album. I hope that many people will hear our album and receive the message we want to convey.”
The album title “Attacca” is a musical term used as a direction in music at the end of a movement to begin the next without pause. It is an album that conveys SEVENTEEN’s adventurous love by metaphorically expressing uncontrollable feelings and undying passion towards the woman.
Mingyu shared, “This project talks about the various emotions within the love that we have in 2021. This album talks about the adventurous love that begins when the word ‘passion’ and SEVENTEEN meet.”
The title song “Rock with you” is an attractive rock-based song featuring SEVENTEEN’s emotions, energetic melodies, and passionate performances.
However, SEVENTEEN promotes this new smash under the 11-member system as The8 and Jun focus on their Chinese activities. Seungkwan commented, “Since we’ve been promoting with all 13 members since our debut, it’s only natural that we feel their vacancy.” Wonwoo then added, “I think you don’t have to worry because we think we’re together with Jun and The8. Also, we had filmed a lot of content before the two left, so you won’t feel their vacancy as much.”
What is their goal with this comeback? “Fortunately, we debuted at No. 15 on the Billboard main chart, which we had been longing for. We said we wanted to rank first with our previous album. So our goal is to take the top spot for real this time.”
