BTS Beats Taylor Swift’s Sales Record & Spends the 45th Week at the Top of the Billboard’s Digital Song Sales Chart

BTS has now become the artist with the most weeks at #1 on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart. With their first collaborative single with Cold Play, “My Universe,” they spent a 45th week at the top of the Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart.

According to Billboard on October 11th (local time), BTS’ “My Universe” topped the Digital Song Sales chart on the 16th. In other words, their newest track became the biggest-selling single in a week in the United States.

This officially marks their 45th week at No. 1 on the Billboard’s chart, establishing a brand new record for a single artist. Previously, the record was held by Taylor Swift at 44 weeks.

On the same day, girl group TWICE entered at No.83 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart with their first English digital single, “The Feels.” TWICE became the fourth Korean group to enter the chart after Wonder Girls, BTS, and BLACKPINK. Meanwhile, The Feels ranked fifth on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart.
