Treadstone producer Ben Smith greeted Korean fans.
Treadstone is an American action TV show which is an offshoot from the Bourne film series. It explores the origin story and present-day actions of a fictional CIA black-ops program known as Operation Treadstone. Not only did Han Hyo Joo starred in the series, but Lee Jong Hyuk and Lee Jini also made their Hollywood debut with the work.
Ben Smith, the executive producer of Treadstone, took part in the Bourne Legacy and Jason Bourne production. “I hope Korean viewers will enjoy the series,” said Smith. “I enjoyed working with Korean actors. Personally, I really enjoyed getting to know the city while filming in Seoul. I was amazed at the culture, food, and people, and I definitely want to visit again. Treadstone filmed in 11 different countries, but filming in Seoul was by far the best experience.”
Smith also praised Han Hyo Joo, who played Soyun Park. Soyun Park is a North Korean pianist who falls into a dilemma when she recovers her memories. “Han Hyo Joo is one of the most special actresses I’ve ever worked with,” Smith shared. “It’s not easy to perform a wide range of emotions. However, Han Hyo Hoo pulled off this difficult job in every scene she appeared.”
Meanwhile, Treadstone will be released exclusively on OCN every Friday at 9 PM KST.
