The Cursed: Dead Man’s Prey confirmed its July commercial release.
The Cursed: Dead Man’s Prey begins with a serial murder case committed by a zombie who rised from the dead.
The teaser poster released today shows the shocking images of “Jaechayi (the dead man).” “Jaechayi” is a type of the undead inspired by monsters in Korean traditional folk tales. It particularly refers to a dead body that is controlled by someone’s curse. Train to Busan and Peninsula director Yeon Sang Ho penned the screenplay.
Besides the “Jaechayi,” the poster show high school shaman Baek So Jin (Jung Ji So) drawing a red pentagram. The poster that reminds people of an abstract drawing raises expectations for a captivating story. Especially, the copy that reads “Someone is controlling the corpse” arouses curiosity for the new kind of K-zombie movie.
Meanwhile, The Cursed: Dead Man’s Prey is the spinoff of the tvN series The Cursed. The movie will be released on July 28th.
