A movie made to mark the 5th anniversary of BLACKPINK’s debut will be released this summer.

Today, YG Entertainment announced the release of Blackpink The Movie. Not only will the movie be screened in CGV theaters around Korea, but it will also be released in 100 countries around the world on August 8th, the day of BLACKPINK’s debut.

Blackpink The Movie will unfold in various sequences: “Memory Room,” which looks back at their past five years; “Beauty,” which unveils images of the four members; and “Unreleased Special Interview” for fans.

In addition to that, the movie will include five live performances from “THE SHOW” and “IN YOUR AREA” concerts. On top of that, BLACKPINK’s hit songs will be re-edited to allow the audience a vivid experience as if they are in a real concert hall. CGV theaters will spice up the experience with their unique features, such as “Screen X,” “4DX,” and “4DX Screen.”

Blackpink The Movie is a part of BLACKPINK’s “4+1 PROJECT” that YG heralded yesterday. Naturally, BLINKs’ expectations for this upcoming mega-scale project have spiked up.
