FT Island’s Lee Hong Gi mentioned his bromance with EXO’s D.O in Radio Star.
Earlier, Lee Hong Gi confirmed his official comeback with MBC’s talk show Radio Star. And today, the production team dropped a pre-release clip of the artist, drawing attention.
In the video, Lee explains his relationship with D.O, who became his best friend when they were both serving their military duty. The host, Yoo Se Yoon, unveils a photo that started their bromance rumor, saying, “Some people started suspecting your relationship with Do Kyung Soo.”
In the photo, Lee and D.O are attending a military event. But what catches the eye is Lee looking endearingly into D.O’s eyes.
“In my defense, D.O seems like a quiet and good kid on TV. But the D.O that I saw every day is quite playful and adorable,” Lee explained. “We were there with the camera staff. And D.O just came up to me and said ‘stay still,’ and put that Taegeukgi (Korean flag) brooch on me.”
The other host, Kim Gook Jin, added, “But just looking at the photo, it looks like you’re saying ‘can I be happy with you?’ with your eyes,” getting a big laugh. Lee answered, “That photo went viral online. Since then, D.O fans are asking me to give updates on him.”
