HBO decided to produce an original series that shares the universe of Parasite than making a remake.
Adam Mckay, the director of the TV series Parasite, revealed more on the 22nd through a podcast. “It’s an original series,” McKay explained. “It shares the same universe, but has an original story.” The director also said he outlined the series with director Bong during the quarantine. “We’re just having the best time […] We’ve just staffed up with an incredible writers’ room,” said Adam.
This upcoming spin-off of Parasite is anticipated, mainly because HBO will produce it, a channel with masterpieces such as Game of Thrones, Sex, and the City, and Big Little Lies.
