In the second part of the show’s series, TWICE appears as a multinational group with four of its nine members as foreigners. When asked by Sung Si Kyung whether the foreign members took any special classes, Sana replied “Momo and I have had Korean lessons for about three years. We weren’t able to say a word when we first came to Korea.” Momo added that they only knew how to say hello, and Sana stated, “we even said hello when someone left.”

As Sandara Park questioned the group whether Korean members also took Chinese or Japanese lessons, Jihyo surprised everyone by saying that the company made her get a Chinese language certificate when she was in middle school. Nayeon explained, “we couldn’t make our debut if we didn’t get a (foreign language proficiency) certificate.” In the episode, TWICE members were seen to thoroughly open up about what they had to prepare for in order to make their debut.
