Will Gong Yoo and Park Bo Gum’s new film Seobok be released simultaneously in movie theaters and the OTT platform?

Today, CJ Entertainment told 10Asia that nothing has been confirmed yet about how Seobok will be released. Earlier today, a media outlet reported that the company is looking into the film’s simultaneous release in theaters and CJ ENM’s OTT platform TVING.

Seobok tells the story of former agent Ki Heon, who is given his last order to protect mutated human clone Seo Bok, who holds the secret of eternal life. As they set off on their journey, they are caught in dangerous situations as several forces acquire Seo Bok for their own agenda. Gong Yoo takes on the role of Ki Heon), a former intelligence agent who desperately wants to live, while Park Bo Gum has been cast for the role of Seo Bok, the world’s first human clone with special powers.

Originally, Seobok was scheduled to be released in December last year and actors carried out active promotions, but the release was indefinitely postponed due to the re-surge of COVID-19 confirmed cases in Korea.
