Blackpink’s Rose confirmed her solo debut on March 12.
On Tuesday, YG Entertainment posted two teaser posters for Rose’s solo album on its official blog and social media.
The conflicting images of the two posters and the confirmed debut date “2021.03.12” catch the eyes. In a subtle purple image, Rose exuded a dreamy and fascinating aura. In the second poster, Rose’s silhouette in a red dress and the hot flames of an exploded car give off a subtle yet intense vibe, prompting questions about the album’s concept.
Rose first unveiled the solo album sub-title song “GONE” at Blackpink’s livestream concert “The Show” on Jan 31. And the 33-second teaser video of the song has reached 50 million views on YouTube. This figure is a glimpse of Blackpink’s global power and global K-pop fans’ anticipations for Rose’s solo debut.
Earlier YG confirmed, “Rose finished filming the music video for the title song of her first solo album earlier this year. As it is a grand-scale music video with the most production fee, we’re putting all our efforts into the post-production.”
