On Feb 14, the actor’s agency HiSTORY D&C announced that they have set up Song Joong Ki’s official Instagram account, saying, “Knock knock! A sweeter gift than chocolate has arrived. Actor Song Joong Ki’s official Instagram account is open!”
And Song’s Instagram, run by his agency, welcomed his fans with three charming photos of the actor. In one day, the account’s followers reached 430k, proving the actor’s global popularity.
Meanwhile, Song Joong Ki recently made his triumphant comeback with Netflix original film Space Sweepers. Though it received some unfavorable reviews over its cliche-filled plot, the film is believed to have opened a new chapter in the Korean SF genre, topping Netflix’s worldwide ranking. He will soon return to the small screen as a dark hero with tvN’s new weekend drama Vincenzo on Feb 20.
