New Year Blues is expected to draw global attention as a valentine’s day healing movie.

The upcoming film New Year Blues has been officially invited to the 19th Florence Korean Film Festival and announced the release in 8 countries.

According to the production team, New Year Blues was invited to the Korean Horizons competition section of the 19th Florence Korea Film Festival. Hosted by Taegukgi Toscana Korea Association, this festival works to connect Italian audiences to Korean films.

Riccardo Gelli, a programmer at the Korean Film Festival in Florence, shared, “It’s a work that highlights director Hong Ji Young’s delicate production in the most original form that connects the stories of four couples with different conflicts with one theme. More than anything else, I was amazed by the solid acting skills of the main actors, and it is a movie that can give warmth and laughter to our hearts who are exhausted with the pandemic.”

In addition, New Year Blues has confirmed its release in eight Asian countries, including Singapore (Feb 11), Hong Kong (Feb 18), and Taiwan and Cambodia (Mar 12).

New Year Blues, starring Kim Kang Woo, Yoo In Na, Yoo Yeo Seok, Lee Yeon Hee, Lee Dong Hwi, Chen Duling, Yeom Hye Ran, Choi Sooyoung and Yoo Teo, follows the four couples who must each overcome different fears and problems as they face the beginning of a new year. It will be released in Korean on Feb 10.
