Vincenzo has finally taken off its veil.
tvN dropped a 15-second teaser for their new weekend drama Vincenzo that features Song Joong Ki’s dark transformation into a cold-blooded mafia lawyer Vincenzo Casano.
Vincenzo tells the story of an Italian mafia lawyer who returns to Korea after being betrayed by his own organization, wiping out the villain in a villain’s way with a veteran lawyer.
The drama made headlines from early on with its jaw-dropping production staff and cast lineup. Money Flower and The Crowned Clown director Kim Hee Won will helm the production while Good Manager and The Fiery Priest screenwriter Park Jae Bum pens the script. Moreover, veteran actors like Yoo Jae Myung, Kim Yeo Jin, Yoon Byung Hee and Kwak Dong Yeon joined the three leading actors, Song Joong Ki, Jeon Yeo Bin and Ok Taec Yeon.
In the released teaser, Song Joong Ki appears in a silhouette and warns his enemy in a low voice, saying, “I didn’t come to negotiate but to warn you.” Soon, the symbolic and intense images such as guns covered in blood, a scale and broken glasses are shown, and Song finishes his threat by adding “I’m the one who judges,” flawlessly exuding his dark energy.
As the mafia’s hard-headed consigliere, Vincenzo Casano (played by Song Joong Ki) will show off his charm as an eloquent speaker and a charismatic negotiator. Already, the actor’s transformation is picked as one of the key points to look for in this highly-anticipated drama.
Meanwhile, Vincenzo will premiere on Feb 20.
