How Did Stray Kids Become K-Pop’s Performance Powerhouse?

Stary Kids is drawing attention from K-pop fans as they have been winning multiple trophies for their performance at award ceremonies.

Stary Kids received the ‘Best Performance’ trophy at the 35th Golden Disc Awards (GDA), which took place on January 9th and 10th. They also won the ‘Hot Music Performance Award of the Year’ at the 10th Gaon Chart Music Awards held on the 13th.

As they introduce the refreshing mixture of powerful live performances and vibrant group choreography, Stray Kids has risen as the powerhouse of performance among K-pop fans. The group constantly makes efforts for their music to be enjoyable, as their first full-length album’s title track “God’s Menu” and the repackage album’s “Back Door” flourished throughout 2020.

At the 2020 The Fact Music Awards held on December 12th, Stray Kids emphasized their unique beauty with an intro choreography as they used Korean traditional tables as props. They performed a thrilling stage on SBS’ 2020 Gayo Daejun in DAEGU which reminded viewers of the Nanta show. Meanwhile, they showed off splendid dance moves in harmony with a huge fan at the GDA. As such, they have proven their position as K-pop’s performance powerhouse.

The group’s ability to express their self-made music further raises pride for the fandom. Many fans both at home and abroad recognize Stray Kids as a genre of their own and are focusing on their next moves as stunning performers.

For this year, Stray Kids is set to take on various projects, including their second full-length album, their own show, season songs, collaborations, and pop-up stores.
