The behind-the-story of actress Kim So Yeon‘s appearance on King of Mask Singer became a hot topic.
In the latest episode of MBC’s How Do You Play?, The Penthouse: War in Life actress Kim So Yeon appeared as a guest.
On this day, Kim recalled the time the dating scandal with her husband Lee Sang Woo was first reported. She confessed, “The day I participated in the King of Mask Singer recording, my dating scandal first hit the wire.”
“I got a call from a reporter. He told me that he is going to write an article about my relationship with Lee Sang Woo, but I was so nervous about King of Mask Singer, so I asked him to postpone it for a day. And he agreed,” she shared.
But on the day of her recording, another media outlet published Kim So Yeon’s dating news just a few minutes before she was supposed to get on stage. She added, “I felt so sorry for the reporter who contacted me, so I asked for a 10-minute delay to the production team and called him for an interview.”
“Back then, we hadn’t been dating for long, so there wasn’t much to tell. But I felt so sorry for him for delaying the article on my behalf that I decided to pull out a bunch of episodes from the top of my head! And as soon as I finished the interview, I hopped on the stage without time to get my makeup,” said the actress.
Hearing the story, netizens applauded her kindness and also expressed their shock over her perfectly playing the role of an unspeakable villain Chun Seo Jin in the drama The Penthouse: War in Life.
