tvN’s new weekend drama Vincenzo has finally taken off its veil today.
The team recently conducted its first table read. Major cast members, including Song Joong Ki, Jeon Yeo Bin, Ok Taec Yeon, Yoo Jae Myung, Kim Yeo Jin and Kwak Dong Yeon, and production staff attended the rehearsal.
Vincenzo tells the story of Vincenzo Casano, a lawyer who works for the mafia as a consigliere. After returning to Korea due to a war between mafia groups, he meets a veteran “evil” lawyer and starts to implement justice in his own way.
Song Joong Ki will be taking the role of Vincenzo Casano, the mafia’s hard-headed strategist, a lawyer, and a consigliere. He is an eloquent speaker and a charismatic negotiator. But despite his sweet visuals, he is a “revenger” through and through.
Jeon Yeo Bin plays Hong Cha Young, an ace lawyer for Korea’s top law firm. She is a tenacious lawyer who would sell her soul to win the case. But she slowly starts to change after getting involved with Vincenzo Casano.
Ok Taec Yeon will become Jang Jun Woo, an intern lawyer who studied abroad. He has a childlike smile on his macho visuals and a goofy and somewhat lax personality. But after meeting Vincenzo Casano, his desire to win starts to surface.
Besides the three, Yoo Jae Myung (Hong Yoo Chan), Kim Yeo Jin (Choi Myung Hee), Yoon Byung Hee (Nam Joo Sung), Kwak Dong Yeon (Jang Han Seo), Jo Han Chul (Han Seung Hyuk), Choi Duk Moon (Tak Hong Shik), Yang Kyung Won (Lee Chul Wook) and Seo Ye Hwa (Jang Yeon Jin) also showed great performances.
The actors gave off such intense energy that expectations for the drama skyrocketed with just one table read.

They have diversely portrayed unique characters that are like a loose cannon,” the production crew said. “The pleasant and passionate performances of dark heroes who implement justice in a villain’s way will provide you with catharsis that you have never experienced.”
Vincenzo is directed by Money Flower and The Crowned Clown director Kim Hee Won, is penned by Chief Kim and The Fiery Priest writer Park Jae Bum. It will premiere in February.
