KBS announcer Do Kyung Wan is expected to leave the company to become a freelancer.
News1 reported on the 1st that Do Kyung Wan recently decided to quit and offered to resign from KBS after 13 years since he joined the company. The announcer, who has been making his position in KBS through appearing in various programs, is told to have made a bold decision for his new challenge.
After graduating from Hongik University with a degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering, Do joined KBS as an announcer through the 35th KBS open recruitment back in 2008. With his secure hosting skills, he has been active mainly in educational and entertainment programs as he starred in KBS 2TV’s Live Info Show, I Like to Sing, Family’s Dignity: Full House, and Stars’ Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant.
After marrying singer Jang Yoon Jung in 2013, he is also currently popular for his bright and friendly image as a father in The Return of Superman with his son Do Yeon Woo and daughter Do Ha Young. He was also praised for his smooth hosting as the MC of the 2020 KBS Drama Awards on the 31st of December, last year.
Announcer Do is currently starring in entertainment shows The Return of Superman, Live Info Show, I Like to Sing, Family’s Dignity: Full House, and Stars’ Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant. Therefore, if his resignation is confirmed, changes are expected to be in the cast of each program.
