It seems like red light has been flickered on CLC’s future promotions as Elkie has notified her agency Cube Entertainment of the termination of the contract.
Elkie recently notified Cube of the termination of the contract. Cube Entertainment told SPOTVNEWS, “Elkie is currently staying in Chain. We are working on details regarding the termination of the contract.”
Earlier, a post that claims that Elkie notified Cube of the termination of the contract through a law office in Beijing, China, started to spread on Weibo. With this, concerns over CLC’s future promotions also surfaced.
Elkie herself shared her feelings through her social media when she wrote that she had a lot of difficulties walking along this path and that whenever faced with situations that didn’t give her any leeway, she felt incompetent and frustrated. She also added, “I want to do more for the people I love and want to show them more, so I thought I couldn’t just let it be like this.” Saying that she has filled the last 5 years with good memories and showing her gratitude to her fellow members, Elkie basically bid farewell to both CLC and her fans.
CLC is a seven-member multinational girl group that debuted in 2015. In September, the group released their latest single Helicopter.
