BLACKPINK has decided to hold their first live stream concert. This concert will be broadcast live online on Dec 27 at midnight (EST) and 2 p.m. KST.
On Dec 3, YG Entertainment dropped the main poster and trailer clip for “YG PALM STAGE – 2020 BLACKPINK: THE SHOW,” officially announcing BLACKPINK’s upcoming mega-project.
The title “THE SHOW” is intuitive and powerful, just like the name of their first regular album THE ALBUM, which brought together their music capabilities into one.
As it is the first live stream concert that partners with YouTube Music and a large project that YG has worked hard on for a long time, global fans are showing explosive interest. This upcoming event will also mark the launch of YG Entertainment’s new concert brand, “Palm Stage” (named after the idea of a concert fitting in the palm of a viewer’s hand).
It is the first time in about a year and five months that BLACKPINK will meet fans around the world through a concert since their world tour, which ended successfully in 23 cities on four continents last year.
BLACKPINK members will hold “BLACKPINK – ‘THE SHOW’ ANNOUNCEMENT LIVE” on YouTube from 2 p.m. KST on Dec 4. At the event, BLACKPINK will receive a special gift announced through a teaser video and share stories related to their first online concert.
Lyor Cohen, head of YouTube music, “It is a great honor to be a partner with such a talented artist for the first time. ‘THE SHOW’ will be a great way to wrap up and celebrate the year for both BLACKPINK and fans around the world.”
