The 2020 APAN Music Awards has unveiled the list of this year’s top 10 artists.
Today, the 2020 APAN Music Awards announced that Kang Daniel, THE BOYZ, MONSTA X, BTS, Seventeen, IZ*ONE, Lim Young Woong, GOT7, NCT 127, and TWICE were selected as artists who have lit up the K-pop scene this year.
The “Top 10” was selected by combining fan voting, artists’ digital and physical sales over the past year, as well as professional judging scores.
Fans have also participated in the voting and “crowned” their favorite artist in the following categories: Best Global Icon (NCT U), Best Performance (Kang Daniel), Best MV (BLACKPINK), and Best All-Rounder (GOT7’s JB).
The 2020 APAN Music Awards is hosted by the Korea Entertainment Management Association and is the first music award ceremony officially recognized by 13 organizations related to pop culture and arts planning, including the Korea Entertainment Producers Association, the Korea Music Industry Association, the Korea Federation of Popular Culture and Arts Industry, and the Korea Management Association.
Meanwhile, the event has been temporarily postponed due to the re-surge in COVID-19 cases in Korea.
