Namgung Min talked about working with Seolhyun and Lee Chung Ah.
On Nov 25, the press conference for tvN’s new drama Awaken took place. Namgung Min, Seolhyun, Lee Chung Ah, Yoon Sun Woo and director Kim Jung Min attended the event, which was only conducted online to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
About Seolhyun, Namgung Min said, “She was so kind, took good care of her senior actors and young friends, and her attitude towards acting was really serious that I always kept an eye on her to see what she needs and if she feels uncomfortable.” He also added, “This friend’s warm heart approached me in such a good way, so I wanted to approach her more and give her advice in terms of acting.”
Regarding his chemistry with Lee Chung Ah, Nam said, “It was my first time working with her. I didn’t really know what kind of acting she liked and expressed, but seeing her think about the deepest parts that no one else thought of, acting with her came really easy.”
Awaken revolves around a series of mysterious incidents connected to an incident that took place in a village 28 years ago. In it, Namgung Min plays Do Jung Woo, a capable and legendary team leader of a special task force at the National Police Agency. Seolhyun takes on the role of Gong Hye Won, a passionate police officer who gets the job done no matter what, while Lee Chung Ah plays Jamie, a detective on loan from the FBI.
tvN’s new Monday-Tuesday drama Awaken will premiere on Nov 30 at 9 p.m. KST.
