Lee Jong Suk was offered a special appearance in The Witch 2 (working title), starring Itaewon Class actress Kim Dami.
An official from the actor’s agency A-MAN Project said, “It’s true that he was offered to make a special appearance in The Witch 2, the new project by Lee Jong Suk’s film V.I.P. director. But he is currently carrying out his mandatory military service, so we will have to confirm his appearance once he is discharged.”
Earlier, Lee Jong Suk blonde with director Park Hoon Jung through V.I.P and was supposed to star in The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion, but failed due to his military enlistment.
The Witch 2 is a sequel to The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion, released in 2018. At the time, the film attracted 3 million moviegoers thanks to Kim Dami’s splendid action sequences.
It was earlier reported that the production for The Witch 2 went up in the air when Warner Bros. Korea decided to pull out its business from Korean cinema. However, it was reported yesterday that NEW has succeeded in negotiating with Warner Bros. Korea and will take over the investment distribution of The Witch 2. After all the ups and downs, The Witch 2 will start filming this winter.
Meanwhile, Lee Jong Suk is currently serving in the military as a social service agent and will be discharged from the military on December 31.
