IZ*ONE is returning to the K-pop scene.
IZ*ONE is currently working on the last step for their new album. The group’s agency Swing Entertainment confirmed their comeback, saying, “We are planning on releasing the album next month.”
Their comeback comes about six months after they dropped their 3rd mini-album, Oneiric Diary. Attention is focusing on what other records IZ*ONE, who became a half-million seller with their last album, will make this time.
However, it seems like bad news is on its way as well. Earlier today, a media outlet reported that IZ*ONE will disband in April next year. According to the report, “IZ*ONE decided to end their two-and-a-half-year contract with CJ ENM and put an end to their activities.”
In response, an official from Swing Entertainment said, “Nothing has been decided about their disbandment. We are still discussing it.” Another official added, “The members are currently working on a new album. They are also scheduled to attend award ceremonies at the end of the year, so we will talk and decide (what to do about disbandment) in earnest at the beginning of next year.”
