BTS will be decorating the stage at “2020 MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Awards).”
CJ ENM announced today (5th) that BTS will be attending “2020 MAMA” and perform a new song from their upcoming album BE.
BTS became the first K-pop artists to land at No.1 on Billboard Hot 100 with “Dynamite,” released on August 21, and remained in the Top 3 of the chart for two months; 3 weeks at No.1 and 4 weeks at No.2.
Amid keen interest, “2020 MAMA” started its official voting on October 29. On the first day, a swarm of fans visited the website to vote for their beloved artist. As of 10 a.m. KST today, the total number of votes stands at 154 million, which is about twice more than last year.
First held in 1999 under the name of “Video Music Awards,” MAMA changed its name in 2010 to the current name and held the ceremony overseas for 10 years, including Macau, Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam, and Japan.
