‘Itaewon Class’ Actor Ryu Kyung Soo to Join Kim Ji Won in New Project by ‘It’s Okay to Not Be Okay’ Director

Ryu Kyung Soo has been cast in a new short-form directed by It’s Okay to Not Be Okay director.

Kakao TV’s original drama City Couple’s Way of Love (literal title) tells the story of the realistic dating lives of young people fighting to survive in a hectic city. This short-form drama will be produced in multiple seasons, and the first episode, starring Ji Chang Wook and Kim Ji Won, will be subtitled “My Lovable Camera Thief.”

In the project, Ryu Kyung Soo plays Kang Gun, Lee Eun Oh (Kim Ji Won) ‘s best friend since their childhood. Kang Gun is the kind of person who grumbles but does whatever he is asked and goes by a “cutie” among his female friends. With this work, the actor will present his new sides of himself, from hidden cuteness to unexpected charm.

Previously, Ryu Kyung Soo appeared in JTBC drama Itaewon Class as Choi Seung Kwon, who is pure and loyal despite his rough past, and received enthusiastic support and love from viewers. He also recently confirmed his appearance in Netflix original series Hellbound, directed by Yeon Sang Ho, upping his value as an actor.

For City Couple’s Way of Love, director Park Shin Woo, best known for It’s Okay to Not Be Okay and Jealousy Incarnate, and writer Jung Hyun Hung, who wrote Discovery of Romance and Romance is a Bonus Book, will join forces.
