‘Deliver Us From Evil’ Surpasses the Break-Even Point in Just 12 Days

The new box office hit movie Deliver Us From Evil topped the weekend box office for two consecutive weeks and surpassed the break-even point of 3.5 million moviegoers.

In particular, the film topped the daily box office for 12 consecutive days and two consecutive weekend box office despite the release of new movies. The accumulated number of viewers now stands at 3,543,253 as of 7:30 a.m. on August 17 KST, easily surpassing the break-even point of 3.5 million.

The cumulative number of moviegoers over the past two weeks for Deliver Us From Evil is similar to the previous crime-action blockbusters like The Outlaw (2017), New World (2013), and The Man from Nowhere (2010). Now, expectations are rising that Deliver Us From Evil will set an additional milestone in the box office as a crime-action film.

Deliver Us From Evil is a hard-boiled chase action that depicts the desperate pursuit and struggle of In Nam (Hwang Jung Min), who gets caught up in a new case because of his final contract killing mission, and Ray (Lee Jung Jae), his ruthless pursuer.
