Singer Jeon Somi revealed that she chose the choreography for her new song with the help of BLACKPINK Lisa.
On Naver NOW’s “SAP,” hosted by Zion.T, Somi shared, “Lisa told me, ‘this choreography is definitely going to be amazing,’ and I think she saw something in the choreography for sure.
“Lisa said this choreography was way better than the choreography for ‘Birthday.’ There were actually two choreographies we were deciding between, but Lisa gave me her certainty when we had to choose. She was a great help.”
Zion.T then asked Somi when she felt the happiest. She responded, “I was the happiest when the teaser for my new song was released for the first time. Usually, teasers use scenes from the music video, but two of my teasers were filmed separately. When I watched the teaser, I teared up because I was reminded of when he filmed it.”
Somi then revealed that she is really into composing songs: “I enjoyed it from the start, but since I didn’t know how to make my own songs I began by recording myself on my phone. When I thought of lyrics, I would write it down in my notes. I also would write lyrics over beats that I would download.
“When I was a trainee I asked if I could take composing and lyric writing classes. It didn’t work out, so I kept recording myself on my phone since I was so determined to make music. That’s how I made my song ‘Outta My Head.’”
