On July 27th, BTS shared details about a new single and their upcoming album in a VLive broadcast.
V said, “BTS will release a digital single in August. I’ll reveal the date of the release just for our ARMYs who are tuning into the live stream late tonight. It’s August 21st.”
BTS revealed that the track will be in English and that it is an exciting summer song that will hopefully cheer people on during these tough times. In addition, BTS also told fans that they are planning to release an album in the second half of 2020, though they are not sure if this new single will be in the album. The members already finished their album jacket filming and are working on new songs at the moment.
V then said, “For the very first time, I am working on my mixtape. It’s a lot of pressure to create an entire album by myself.”
