SM artists showed their respect for Kang Ho Dong.
On the afternoon of July 18, the second episode of “After School Activities” for JTBC’s Knowing Bros, featuring Kang Ho Dong’s dance challenge, was uploaded on YouTube.
With Super Junior’s Shindong’s teaching, Kang Ho Dong focused on delivering facial expressions while looking into the lyrics of EXO’s “Growl.” Even when he was having a tough time learning the dance moves, Kang Ho Dong tried his best to express each line with his face.
After completing a short lesson, Shindong recorded Kang Ho Dong’s dance to “Growl” and “She Was Pretty” and send them to Lee Soo Man, the head of SM Entertainment, Park Jin Young, the head of JYP Entertainment, Super Junior’s Eunhyuk, EXO’s Kai, and TVXQ’s U-Know.
Kai replied, “He’s really good. He knows the rhythm and his beat is accurate. He’s excellent. He’s talented.” Shindong’s dance teacher Park Jin Young commented, “He knows how to bounce with his body. But I hope he straightens his arms more.” Lee Soo Man answered, “He does quite well. But, Shindong, feeding him would cost a lot.”
At the end of the video, EXO-SC appeared to evaluate Kang Ho Dong’s dancing. When Chanyeol said, “But I hope he doesn’t do ‘Growl.’ It’s better to challenge the song after he understand the fun in dancing. It’s difficult,” to which Sehun added, “Even I still have difficult times with ‘Growl,’” giving a big laugh.
