BTS Pre-Released the Song ‘Stay Gold’ from Their Upcoming Japanese Album

BTS is releasing a new song in Japan.

According to Big Hit Entertainment, BTS will pre-release their new song “Stay Gold” on music sites around the world at 6:00 p.m. KST.

“Stay Gold” is the title track of BTS’s fourth full-length Japanese album MAP OF THE SOUL: 7~THE JOURNEY~, which will be released on July 15.

Prior to the release of the song, BTS released a series of photos taken in black suits on its official SNS, drawing fans’ expectations.

Meanwhile, BTS ranked No. 1 in the first half of the Oricon’s Album Sales Chart on June 19 with their fourth full-length album MAP OF THE SOUL: 7, which was released on February 21.

BTS became the first male artist to top the chart in three years, since veteran Japanese group SMAP last achieved the record in 2017. It is the first time in 36 years that a foreign artist has topped Oricon’s Album Sales Chart since Michael Jackson‘s Thriller in 1984.
