A man in his 40s who broke into the home of Kim Gyu Ri has been arrested.
Channel A reported on May 21st that police said the suspect was taken into custody on charges of robbery and assault after illegally entering Kim Gyu Ri’s residence in Bukchon Hanok Village, Seoul, around 9 PM on May 20th. The suspect allegedly tried to steal money.
Reports say the intruder fled after another person inside the home discovered the break-in. Kim Gyu Ri’s housemate was reportedly injured during the incident.
The emergency call to police reportedly stated, “A robber tried to tie me up.”
Police later tracked the suspect, who was caught about three hours after the incident. Authorities are currently investigating whether the crime was premeditated and are considering requesting an arrest warrant.
