Actor Gong Yoo joins director Kim Tae Yong’s upcoming movie, Wonderland, to mark the end of the super-luxury cast.
On March 11, movie industry announced that Gong Yoo recently confirmed his role in Wonderland. This is the first film of director Kim Tae Yong in ine years since Late Autumn released in 2011.
The story depicts the people who join Wonderland, a virtual world, to recreate their missed ones, mainly focusing on a woman in her 20s, whose lover went into a coma and a man in his 40s, whose wife passed away.
Gong Yoo plays the role of the man in his 40s, who is raising a kid on his own after his wife passed away. He will be working with Tang Wei as a couple. It is rumored that he decided to appear in the movie even though the role is not so big due to his trust for the director, the script and the production company.
With this, Wonderland completed its super-luxurious cast including, Suzy and Park Bo Gum, who will play the couple in their 20s, Choi Woo Shik and Jung Yu Mi as the Wonderland coordinators, and Gong Yoo and Tang Wei as a couple in their 40s.
Wonderland is in the midst of the final stage of pre-production work to start filming during the first half of this year.
