With the spread of COVID-19, entertainment industry is suffering. The release of the film are postponing and concerts are being canceled. Nevertheless, there are some artists who are continuing their activities to share joys with their fans.

Taeyeon is releasing another “Spring Season Song.” Her new song “Happy” is expected to follow “Four Seasons,” which was released last spring.

According to her agency SM Entertainment on March 5, Taeyeon will release her new song and music video on various music sites on March 9. She will only release the digital single and has no plans of doing other activities such as performing the song at the music shows. However, given that the release date of the new song is also Taeyeon’s birthday, it is approaching the fans with a special meaning.

“Happy” is a rhythm and blues pop genre song that expresses the cozy excitement and happiness of time with a loved one. This is the second album of the year that the artist will release following PURPOSE, the second repackage album, released in January. Since Taeyeon communicates with her fans without having a long break, expectations are rising for the upcoming album sales.

Taeyeon swept music awards at various year-end award ceremonies with “Four Seasons” last year. She also made a hit with her Hotel Del Luna OST, “All About You.” She released its second full-length album in October and topped local music sites with its title track “Spark.” In addition, she topped iTunes “Top Album Chart” in 21 countries, the largest number reached as female solo album from Korea.
