Actor Wi Ha Joon has confirmed his role in the new JTBC drama 18 Again, as his next move.
18 Again tells the story of a husband who goes back to his prime days 18 years ago right before his divorce. Director Ha Byung Hoon. who directed Go Back Couple, is also making headlines for his first work since moving to JTBC.
The drama is based on the movie 17 Again, starring Hollywood star Jack Efron.
In the drama, Wi Ha Joon plays the role of Ye Ji Hoon, a pitcher for Nexen Heroes. Ye Ji Hoon is a talented pitcher and a sports star with refined looks, fluent conversational skills and delicate manners. He will have an intense first encounter with Kim Ha Neul during his interview as a member of a winning team.
Not long ago, Kim Ha Neul, Yoon Sang Hyun and Lee Do Hyun confirmed their roles. Kim Ha Neul plays the role of Jung Da Jung, a professional announcer and a mother of the twins. Yoon Sang Hyun and Lee Do Hyun are playing the role of Hong Dae Young in different ages, each 37 and 18.
Hong Dae Young is a has-been basketball genius who swept all the basketball tournaments in high school. Returning to his heyday, he changes his name and tries to live a second life.
Expectations are high as to what performances Wi Ha Joon will show with other actors as he showed continuous success with his previous works, including, GONJIAM: Haunted Asylum, Miss & Mrs. Cops, Something in the Rain, Matrimonial Chaos and Romance is a Bonus Book.
18 Again is scheduled to air in the second half of this year.
