JYP Entertainment Donated 500 Million KRW to Prevent the Spread of COVID-19

JYP Entertainment donated 500 million KRW (approximately 416,452 USD) to the Community Chest of Korea Act, also known as ‘The Fruit of Love,“ on February 28 to prevent the spread of approximately.

The donation will be used to purchase medical supplies such as protective clothing and masks for medical staff to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and personal hygiene products to prevent infections among those with immune vulnerability.

JYP Entertainment stated, “We hope that the donation will help Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province as well as medical staff who are devotedly focusing on treatment across the country and those who are facing personal troubles.”

In Response, “The Fruit of Love” said, “We will do our best to ensure all the supplies and personal hygiene products get delivered to the needed places asap to prevent the further spread of COVID-19.”

Meanwhile, JYP Entertainment launched CSR project, “Every Dream Matters (EDM),” last year, and has been working with “Make A Wish” Foundation to grant wishes of children suffering from incurable diseases. Following producer JYP, who gave dance and singing lessons to a girl suffering from leukemia, many artists including GOT7, DAY6 and Stray Kids are helping children realize their dreams in various forms.

Recently, the company has been conducting social contribution activites to practice sharing a daily life, including the launch of “JYP Fan’s EDM Check Card” and “JYP_EDM Wish” donation site.
