Yumi’s Cells is officially returning.
The hit romantic series will premiere its long-awaited third season on April 13th. The new season will first debut on the streaming platform TVING before later airing on tvN.
Yumi’s Cells follows the everyday life, love and growth of Yu Mi (Kim Go Eun), told through the unique perspective of the tiny cells inside her head that control her emotions and decisions. The series blends live action with animated “cells,” creating a distinctive romantic comedy that resonated with viewers.
Season 1 premiered in 2021, followed by Season 2 in 2022. After nearly four years, the story returns with Season 3.
Kim Go Eun reprises her role as Yu Mi, while Kim Jae Won joins as the new male lead. The upcoming season is expected to continue delivering relatable life moments and heartfelt romance that fans have come to love.
Since its debut, Yumi’s Cells has become one of TVING’s signature original series and one of the few Korean dramas to successfully build a multi-season franchise.
Following its April 13th streaming debut on TVING, the new season will also air on tvN as a Monday–Tuesday drama, taking over the time slot after the series Siren’s Kiss. With both streaming and television releases planned, Yumi’s Cells Season 3 is expected to reach an even wider audience when it returns this spring.
