Two of South Korea’s biggest global stars are heading to Dodger Stadium.
V of the pop supergroup BTS is scheduled to throw the ceremonial first pitch at the Los Angeles Dodgers game on August 25th, followed just two days later by soccer superstar Son Heung Min on August 27th.
The Dodgers officially announced V’s appearance on August 17th via their X (formerly Twitter) account, posting a photo of the singer with the caption, “ARMY, are you ready? V will throw out the first pitch at Dodger Stadium on August 25th.”
The post immediately went viral. It racked up approximately 40,000 likes and over 26,000 retweets within just two hours. The announcement also sparked a frenzy for tickets, with reports that the team’s booking website temporarily crashed due to the sudden surge in traffic from fans.
