Viewers were treated to a delightful mix of laughter, hard work, and heartwarming moments with Yum Jung Ah, Lim Ji Yeon, Lee Jae Wook and special guest Lee Jung Jae on the April 27th episode of tvN’s Fresh off the Sea Season 2.
Lee Jung Jae showed up wearing a trapper hat, blending right in with the workers at the dried pollack field. He kicked things off with a prank, shouting, “You can’t hang it like that!” and startling the four cast members. They were completely fooled — until his loud “Freeze!” — a signature line from Squid Game Season 2 — echoed across the field. Once they realized it was Lee Jung Jae, everyone burst into laughter and rushed over to greet him.
Yum Jung Ah couldn’t stop thanking Lee Jung Jae, the global star who had traveled all the way to join them. But the warm reunion didn’t last long — they were quickly thrown into the tough job of hanging pollack. Paired up and working nonstop, they barely had a second to catch their breath. Lee Jung Jae teased Yum Jung Ah with a grin, “This is a variety show, but you’re all work and no talk!”
A well-deserved snack break brought more laughs. The cast bombarded Lee Jung Jae with questions, and Lee Jae Wook couldn’t hide his excitement, saying, “It feels surreal to be hanging pollack with you.” When asked about his cooking skills, Lee cracked everyone up by saying, “I have the typical single guy’s recipe — just throw everything in!” He also shared a quirky tip: eating steamed buns with radish salad, earning curious looks from the group.
The fun continued as the cast headed to a snow sledding slope, checking off a bucket-list wish for Lim Ji Yeon and Lee Jae Wook. Both were thrilled, while Lee Jung Jae and Yum Jung Ah embraced their inner kids, flying down the slopes with pure joy.
Back at the village, the group gathered to prepare a hearty dinner under Yum Jung Ah’s leadership. Lim Ji Yeon kneaded dough for sujebi, Jae Wook tended the fire, and Jung Jae took on potato peeling duties. True to form, his meticulousness showed — from sorting recyclables to washing dishes, he handled it all with care.
The massive pot of gamjatang (pork stew) left Jung Jae wide-eyed, asking if it was really just for five people. Jae Wook confidently replied, “Oh, we’ll eat it all!” leading to more laughs when Jung Jae joked, “You could open a restaurant with this amount!”
Fresh off the Sea Season 2 airs every Sunday at 7:40 PM KST on tvN.
