Nam Yoon Su has revealed why he donated a kidney to his father.
Nam Yoon Su appeared on Park Na Rae’s YouTube channel “Naraesik” on the 19th and shared various stories.
When Park Na Rae asked Nam Yoon Su what makes him happiest these days, he responded, “I’m enjoying filming and everything makes me happy. I don’t have any worries,” adding, “Before, it was my father being sick. That was my concern during the shoot.”
The actor explained, “I started filming the drama ‘Love in the Big City’ in November, and that’s when I heard my father was sick. I think he had been ill since summer.”
Nam underwent kidney transplant surgery for his father in June last year. At the time, he suspended all activities completely to focus on preparing for the transplant.
Hearing this, Park Na Rae commented, “Since you have three brothers, someone else could have done it.” Nam Yoon Su replied, “They could’ve, but since I’m living a somewhat better life financially, I thought it was best that I do it,” adding, “In the drama, the mother gets sick in episodes 3 and 4. When filming those scenes, I didn’t need to try to immerse myself in the emotions. Those feelings just come out naturally because I already know that emotion.”
Additionally, when asked about his health, Nam Yoon Su added, “It’s really good. I think I’m the type who gets less tired when working.”
