BTS brought Mexico City to a standstill after appearing on the balcony of Mexico’s National Palace following an official meeting with President Claudia Sheinbaum.

On May 6th local time, President Sheinbaum officially invited the group to the presidential palace for a meeting ahead of BTS’s upcoming concerts in the country. Afterward, the seven members stepped onto the palace balcony to greet thousands of fans gathered in the city’s iconic Zócalo Square.

Photos from the scene showed all seven members lined up side by side, waving and smiling warmly at the cheering crowd below. Dressed in coordinated yet individually styled suits, the group appeared relaxed as they took in the overwhelming reception from fans.

Using microphones, the members greeted the crowd in Spanish with phrases like, “We love you,” “Mexico is the best,” and “See you again,” drawing explosive reactions from the audience.

The special appearance comes just ahead of BTS’s highly anticipated Mexico concert dates on May 7th, 9th and 10th. All three shows sold out immediately after tickets went on sale, once again proving the group’s immense popularity in the region.

This marks BTS’s first visit to Mexico in approximately nine years since 2017, and local media reports have already begun highlighting the significant economic impact expected from the group’s return.
