Park Ji Hyun has been confirmed to star in the film Wild Thing (working title).
Wild Thing tells the story of three members of Triangle, a once-popular K-pop group that fell apart due to a scandal, as they navigate their chaotic reunion.
Park Ji Hyun will play the only female member of the group, a role initially considered for Lim Ji Yeon. However, Lim Ji Yeon ultimately could not join the project due to scheduling conflicts.
The other members of Triangle will be played by Kang Dong Won and Uhm Tae Goo. This marks Park Ji Hyun’s first collaboration with both actors.
The film will be directed by Son Jae Gon, known for My Scary Girl (2006), Villain and Widow (2010), and Secret Zoo (2020). Production will be handled by About Film, the company behind the hit movie Extreme Job (2019).
Notably, Park Ji Hyun delivered a breakthrough performance in the film Hidden Face, released in November last year, showcasing a bold transformation that contributed to the movie’s success. She is currently appearing in her first comedy film, Forbidden Fairytale.
Wild Thing is scheduled to begin filming in the first half of this year.
