Former SECHSKIES member Ko Ji Yong has revealed that he and his wife have divorced.
Ko Ji Yong shared the news On July 29th through his personal channel, explaining that the couple ended their marriage two years ago.
“I divorced my wife two years ago. I am sharing this news now because I wanted our son, Seung Jae, to have enough time to understand and accept the situation,” he said.
Ko Ji Yong added that Seung Jae is doing well and adjusting positively. “I will continue to do my best as a father. Although my wife and I are no longer together as a couple, we remain on good terms and continue to support each other.”
He also asked for understanding, saying, “I hope you will continue to watch over us with warmth and support.”
Ko Ji Yong married physician Heo Yang Im in 2013, and the couple welcomed their son Seung Jae in 2014. The family previously appeared together on the popular variety show The Return of Superman, where their daily lives gained attention from viewers.

I divorced my wife two years ago. I chose not to share this news earlier because I wanted to protect our son, Seung Jae, and give him time to fully understand and accept the situation while growing up in a stable environment.
The divorce was a decision we made to respect each other’s paths and fulfill our responsibilities as parents. Seung Jae understands the relationship between his mother and father, and he is currently doing well and living a stable life.
