MC Mong claimed he would expose singer Kim Min Jong and MBC’s PD Note for allegedly trying to ruin his career during a TikTok livestream on May 18th.
MC Mong first denied allegations that he had engaged in illegal gambling and prostitution using company funds. He claimed that conflicts arose while jointly operating One Hundred Label, the parent company of Big Planet Made, with Cha Ga Won after receiving investment from her. According to MC Mong, Cha Ga Won’s uncle, Cha Jun Young, later falsely accused him and tried to pin the allegations on him.
He said, “I founded Big Planet Made because I wanted to create a space where singers could learn music, including songwriting and composing. I met Chairman Cha and received an enormous investment when the company faced financial difficulties. But Cha Ga Won and I had very different management styles, and we clashed frequently. We had a major fight in May of last year as well.”
He continued, “Chairwoman Cha uploaded a video of me hanging out with my girlfriend in a group chat and publicly announced, ‘From today, MC Mong will be excluded from all Big Planet Made-related work.’ I felt deeply betrayed and went to see her uncle, Cha Jun Young. Cha Ga Won sent her uncle photos taken in an elevator, saying, ‘Uncle, MC Mong should be working, but he’s out here with his girlfriend.’ Then her uncle turned those photos into prostitution allegations. One day, he suddenly came to my house, cursed at me, threatened to kill me, poured coffee all over me and demanded that I sign this paper giving up my shares. Later, rumors surfaced claiming I had an affair with Cha Ga Won. At the time, I hated her so much that I even sent fake text screenshots to her uncle, but the affair rumors involving her and me are not true.”
MC Mong also claimed that PD Note contacted him seeking clarification regarding allegations that he gambled with company money and received advance payments. He stated, “As a producer, I was never involved in accounting matters. They contacted me after seeing fake conversations Mr. Cha submitted to the court. Mr. Cha has been secretly dating a mid-career actress for five years, and her daughter calls him father. He’s obsessed with gambling. Just two months ago, he went to the Aria Hotel in Las Vegas to play million-dollar games.”
He further alleged, “When Big Planet Made was being established, Mr. Cha told Baekhyun, ‘I’ll give you billions of won, so let’s go to Las Vegas. A man should know how to gamble.’ Mr. Cha runs a gambling group called ‘Baduki.’ People start with 100 million won ($67,000) each, and it grows into tens of billions. He also goes gambling at bars twice a week and gives hostesses tips of 10 to 20 million won ($6,700 to $133,000). One of the members is actor Kim Min Jong, whom I once admired. He drives a Rolls-Royce supercar bought with money from Mr. Cha. The CEO of Think Entertainment, the agency of Kim Ho Joong, is also involved. His artist is in prison, but the label head goes to Macau every month to gamble 5 billion won ($3.3 million) and plays a $500,000 game in the U.S.”

MC Mong insisted, “I’ve never even bought coffee with a corporate card. My bank records can prove it. I have recordings and text messages showing Kim Min Jong giving tips at hostess bars and giving 10 million won ($67,000) to a woman he took to Japan. Go ahead and sue me for defamation. If you do, I’ll expose everything exactly as it is.”
Kim Min Jong strongly denied the allegations and announced plans to pursue legal action.
On May 19th, Kim Min Jong’s side stated, “We clearly state that all claims currently circulating online regarding Kim Min Jong are completely false.”
