NewJeans members Haerin and Hyein have been spotted in Europe, sparking excitement among fans.
On April 12th, posts began circulating on the Chinese social media platform Weibo claiming that Haerin was seen in Copenhagen, Denmark.
One fan wrote about their encounter: “I saw Haerin in Copenhagen yesterday. One girl looked so much like the NewJeans star that I wondered, ‘Could it be?’ But they were moving so fast that it felt awkward to run after them, so I gave up.” They added that they decided to share their story after seeing other fans post about similar run-ins. “She was so pretty that she really stood out,” the fan noted, mentioning that Haerin’s signature “cat-like” eyes and her usual style made her easy to recognize.
A photo shared by the user shows Haerin in a gray jacket and skirt set, walking and smiling while talking to a staff member. Another fan also shared an encounter: “I ran into Haerin and Hyein in Copenhagen. I told Hyein she was beautiful, and she kept smiling and saying thank you. She even waved goodbye to us.” This user noted that the two were seen chatting inside a store, and since someone with them appeared to be holding a camera, fans are curious if they were filming new content.
Notably, Hanni—who was recently reported to be returning to the group alongside Haerin and Hyein—was not seen during this outing. The members have been popping up in different locations recently; Hanni was spotted in her home country of Australia in January, and Minji was seen in London in February. These individual sightings have fans wondering when the group will officially resume activities.
The group’s status has been a major topic since last October, when ADOR won a lawsuit against the members regarding their exclusive contracts. Following the court’s ruling, Haerin and Hyein expressed their intent to return, and Hanni has since confirmed her comeback. Minji is currently in discussions regarding her return, while Danielle’s contract was terminated, resulting in her departure from the group.
ADOR has filed a lawsuit seeking approximately 43.1 billion won ($31 million) in damages against Danielle, a family member, and former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin.

Meanwhile, Danielle recently reemerged on social media on April 11th, sharing a self-composed demo track. The post signals the official start of her solo career following her exit from NewJeans.
