Despite strong global buzz, the cast of Netflix’s Boyfriend on Demand will not be sitting down for post-series interviews.

Fans had hoped to hear behind-the-scenes stories from stars Jisoo and Seo In Guk, as well as director Kim Jeong Sik, following the finale. However, the interviews were ultimately canceled, drawing disappointment given the show’s growing popularity both in Korea and internationally.

Boyfriend on Demand is a romantic comedy about Mi Rae (played by Jisoo), a burned-out webtoon producer, who turns to a virtual dating simulation that allows users to subscribe to and experience romance.

According to Netflix’s Tudum Top 10 site, the series reached No. 4 on the Global Top 10 Non-English TV list just three days after its release. It recorded 2.6 million views and 25.6 million hours watched, ranking No. 1 globally in total viewing hours.

Still, both lead actors chose not to participate in traditional press interviews, reportedly due to scheduling considerations.

Jisoo is currently busy promoting Blackpink’s comeback after the group released their third mini album DEADLINE on February 27th. The title track “GO” quickly gained traction on major global charts.

Seo In Guk is also occupied filming his upcoming tvN drama See You at Work Tomorrow! while preparing for his 2026 fan meeting tour. The tour’s first leg, “PHASE 1,” begins March 24th in Mexico before heading to Chile and Brazil.

Director Kim Jeong Sik has likewise moved straight into filming his next project. With the series also drawing attention for its star-studded supporting cast, including Lee Soo Hyuk, Seo Kang Jun, Kim Seong Cheol, and Jay Park, many viewers had hoped to hear more about the casting and production process.

Because the series sparked varied reactions to Jisoo’s performance and character interpretation, some fans expected a wrap-up interview to offer deeper insight. Without it, industry observers say the promotional cycle feels slightly incomplete despite the show’s strong global performance.
