Some fans of rookie group ALPHA DRIVE ONE are organizing a funeral wreath protest just one month after the group’s debut, drawing attention across online communities.

On February 19th, a post on X announced, “We will send funeral wreaths to demand an official statement and responsible action regarding the current issue.” The account holder said the wreaths would be delivered to the front gate of the CJ ENM Center at noon on the 21st, calling on WAKEONE to clarify its position.

Proposed protest messages included, “If the abuse of power allegations against Geonwoo are true, he should leave immediately,” and “If false, release a statement. If true, take action.” The same account previously organized a coordinated push to trend keywords on X, demanding a response from the agency.

The protest follows posts on online forums in which a person claiming to be a network staff member alleged they suffered psychological harm due to Geonwoo’s behavior. Additional posts making similar claims surfaced afterward, though some were later found to be false. The overall claims remain unverified.

As negative posts continued to spread online, some fans began calling for a clear response from the agency, while others within the fandom have voiced opposing views on the planned protest.

ALPHA DRIVE ONE was formed through Mnet’s Boys Planet 2 and consists of Leo, Junseo, Arno, Geonwoo, Sangwon, Xinlong, Anxin, and Sanghyeon. Geonwoo, born in 2003, finished fourth in the final lineup. The group debuted on January 12th with their first mini album EUPHORIA, which recorded first-week sales of 1.44 million copies, the second-highest debut sales in history.
