Ju Ji Hoon and Ha Ji Won are set to team up for the upcoming series Climax.

Genie TV announced on the 24th that the new original drama will premiere as ENA’s Monday–Tuesday series in the first half of 2026. Climax follows prosecutor Bang Tae Seop, a man who dives headfirst into Korea’s power cartel in his quest to climb to the very top—setting off a brutal survival game among the elite.

Bang Tae Seop will be played by Ju Ji Hoon, portraying a prosecutor who skyrockets to fame after marrying Korea’s most celebrated actress. That actress, Choo Sang Ah, will be played by Ha Ji Won, a former top star now dismissed as past her prime after marriage. Meeting for the first time in a drama, the two will explore a tense, ambition-fueled relationship that oscillates between fame and ambition.

Nana joins the cast as Hwang Jung Won, an informant who operates in Tae Seop’s shadow. Holding the key to Pandora’s box, she becomes the character who exposes the darkest side of the power cartel.

Cha Joo Young has been cast as Lee Yang Mi, the second wife of the chairman of WR Group, Korea’s No. 3 conglomerate. Oh Jung Se will play Kwon Jong Wook, the eldest son locked in a fierce succession battle within the company.

The series is produced by Hive Media Corp, known for acclaimed and commercially successful films including 12.12: The Day, Inside Men, The Man Standing Next, and Deliver Us From Evil. Director Lee Ji Won, who swept best new director awards with the film Miss Baek, will take the helm—marking her first foray into drama directing.

The production team shared, “Director Lee Ji Won has already proven her refined visual style and exceptional storytelling, and with a cast whose names alone inspire trust, this lineup creates a powerhouse combination. The tangled desires and choices of each character, and the intense narrative that unfolds from them, make ‘Climax’ a compelling project. We hope viewers will look forward to it.”
